a temporary local picture of reality. Resulting in Churches of Science.
"Nature's conformity to law," is arrogance and illusion
Nietzsche suggests that BEHAVIOR does not follow laws, but vice versa (just like much later Marcuse; The Truth is out There).
'Science' results from a human dislike of chaos and a practical need to exploit the world.
Nietzsche considers 'science' as a 'means'.
Science creates a virtual reality, an ethics of 'words' instead of an ethics of behavior. 'Science' needs modesty, and should treat 'laws' as 'hypotheses'.
For Thomas Kuhn 'science' proceeds in shifts from paradigm to paradigm, and is not accumulative.
At a paradigm shift the qualities for leadership are revalued fundamentally,
a new generation of researchers starts seeing things totally different.
When doing so research will seem, here
and there, incommensurable with the 'old science'. At 'paradigm shift' 'scientists' need re-education.
21st Century 'science' is not value free, but product of the imagination of Aristotle.
