All local cultures make different experiments in reality (perform experiments in reality).
I'll give an helicopter view of earth-'life' (paradigm). No complex language based on the religion rationality with
holy word 'understanding',
but puzzling in my sensory motor (brain) to fit my sence-experience of major earth cultures and evolution in my helicopter common sense. |
The IDEA-generator Social Science only produces logics (prejudices in model, within the dominant paradigm), but doesn't help much in making sense of the moods 'designed' by evolution. I'll replace the word 'science' with 'circus' (life is 'training').
Then when it comes to 'intelligence' forget about age and education levels like 'kindergarten' and 'university'. |
Windows on reality work roughly in two ways: (1) they only 'show' a tiny 'truth' of 'reality' (a world within walls);
(2) they are 'addictive' (when there are no windows in the wall, they only confirm local 'truth')

1 tiny example of 'addictive': have a look at a map of Europe by religion around 1650. Protestantism is spreading like wildfire. Ireland is 'catholic', and being forcefully colonized by Anglican England. You might start to grasp that the 'Northern Ireland Conflict' originated as creative defense of common sense Irish against colonization by England.

A fine way of living seems limited free choice of windows directly on reality (no 'rational' [glibbery] talk anymore from 'politicians').
The same temporarily agreed ethical filter for EVERYBODY within a culture.
Ethical rules should define an 'ethical cage' that does not need control with anonymous cameras, but
is 'closed' by common sense education. Of course the rules making the 'ethical cage' are free for sensable open discussion,
but in the shape of laws NOT free for compromise. Temporary 'control and censorship' by rules coming from tradition, and that are on short term not free for 'bargaining'.
The addition 'directly on reality' is essential. It supposes from the leaders an active approach to give everybody an as a clear view on reality as practically possible. You might see what I see. Such freedom of shaping your own opinion ensures equallizing disturbing differences in happiness. Removing barriers in knowledge prevents that any view to unnecessarily becomes dogma.

Of course new views need advertising and balancing with existing views. But remember: both conservatism and being progressive have a use, to create a stable society.
That means conservative thinkers that dare to think relative (are adapted to the present variety of life), and a new breed of progressive thinkers that accept the need for stable 'absolutism' (conservatism, i.e. don't jump too fast from things like cheering nuclear energy to applauding solar energy). Cultural leaders should:![]()
- realize that life on earth is like a cloud of particles with a lot of water. When the cloud gets disbalanced, then all the water might go to one side and get polluted.
The cloud might start losing water, and water is the prime condition for earth life.
- realize that humans are not 'above' earth life, and as part of earth life should keep the balance
- have clear goals, expressed by a 'simple' logic
- treat cultural values like locally absolute. Compromise is relaxing of the cultural values, it has no end.
- that creating new nergy resources might seem expensive, but that 'money' is only paper
- ... evade difficult words (realize to be living in dreams of their own)
Pirsig ("The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance") pictures today science as a kind of serial schizophrenia.
Maybe it's good to realize that an Ethical Law Shift (Reality Redesign) means 'End of Science'.
Smart human apes on 'Universities' should stop messing with social life, and pretending upgrading cultural behavior based on the self-created myths
'understanding' and 'social science'.
Social Products of evolution were made through millions of years improving.
BUT Technological Universities could still serve WELL as skill training facilities.

Jesus tried to redesign a view on reality made by The Romans
and to peacefully show a way back to his interpretation of Zoroastrian values (common sense).
Being fundamentally misunderstood cost him his life, and his common sense view on life
(stop slavery) immediately
became corrupted by the Romans, and even more much later in Enlightenment.
It changed in the 'Roman Catholic' or 'Scientifical' VIEW.
Mind that an Total Paradigm Shift (Reality Redesign) a 'brutal clean sweep' of social ethics instead of in stead of 'mopping up'.
Removing the rusted layer of social attitudes, contrary to the subtle Kuhnian reparative weaving on the former way of life (paradigm).
It is 'arrogant' to label members of other ways of life as 'insane' or 'terrorist' when they made holes in the dominant paradigm. This attitude needs replacement by 'respect'.
Education of use of conceptual schemes should focus on the age range 5 - 12, because then the human animal is still flexible.
Total Paradigm Shifts just like Kuhnian Paradigm Shifts obey Kuhn's rule:
[The way to change] ....involves the 'comparison'/tuning of both paradigms [..] with each other. This by using common sense,
because simultaneous partial explanation of both paradigms remains possible (keep it simple).
Members of introvert paradigms (like Christian Science) by definition can't look outside
their paradigm. The choice inherent in their basics is war on terrorism as way of defense. That might result in agressive empires like the Roman Empire or Muhammedanism (take care, only dominant variant of peaceful Islam), or the United States.
Relative paradigms (like Buddhism) by intuition replace attack by respect. That way the door to different paradigms stays open to make a jump.
'Players' in the game Life should realize that their truth is relative.
The emerging 21st century world culture is a straightforward game.

Kuhnian Paradigms are bulldozers that help people to resist suffocation by the Anaconda-like mental strangling of a former Paradigm (bulldozer like stretching of the dominant paradigm).
At present such a mental-Anaconda still bases its strength on rules coming from Roman 'scientia'.
Especially Immanuel Kant made that mental strangling even more powerfull by
unpurposely feeding it with abstract 'a priori' in his Critique of Pure Reason.
Once in a while when the mental worlds are crowded with squeezing mental snakes evolution
in some way chases away these mind reptiles, and in a Design Shift based on millions of years of experience starts a new 'zoo'.

THE fundamental entities of reality don't exist, EVERY view has own basics.
In every culture brains (supersenses) use some view of reality, and inherently some basics.
Creativity is puzzling with relations of basics.

History as narration was introduced by Giambattista Vico, who died anonimously as being anti christian.
Vico denied the rational inventions 'understanding' and 'consciousness'.
A Kuhnian paradigms arbiter writes in wishful thinking: A strict Kuhnian line implies that
professional [social scientists] .... would be the sole arbiters of what counts as adequate philosophical
and sociological research about science. That is a circular argument, but it makes me more sure that
Kuhnian Paradigms are 'Regular Maintenance' Paradigms within an overall Paradigm (like 'science'). That explains why this 'social scientist'
can't imagine to be prejudiced and thinks in circular way.
Helas the 21st Century Paradigm is NOT a Kuhnian 'ethical-window' cleaner (soft revolution), but an
brainclutching (especially in The Western World) Reality Redesign. A Kuhnian Paradigm Shift would have been something like:
a shift from an economic centered world-view to an ecocentric world-view. Revolutional, but only stretching the 'science' paradigm.
An Ethical Law Paradigm ERASES the social ethical part of the present paradigm. Of course not technology, but it DRASTICALLY
changes the notions 'understanding', 'intelligence', 'adult', and also the whole method of 'knowledge puzzling'.
It's important to realize that puzzles (paradigms) are not solved through use of the 'scientific' myth 'understanding' but through using 'intuition' when creating a new puzzle and new
added rules.
a) Humans might be seen as barrels full of moods, with several windows on reality .
b) Moods are triggered by multi dimensional sense experiences coming through the windows, and have multi dimensional thresholds
c) The reaction of a mood is building up to some kind of 'orgasm'. I.e. working towards a peak, and then 'relaxing'.
d) Like suspension bridges moods have a frequency zone, that is 'dangerous'. Then a peak is almost inavoidable and considerably larger than the custom peak (this is personal).
e) The shape of the orgasm curve, is decisive for addictivity. Sex triggers are addictive because they result in fast peak and fast relaxation.
f) Education is training intuition/moods (our sensory-motor is a circusact). No offense but 'scientists' aren't THAT different from dolphins.
g) Training beings in abstract thinking takes action-response tools.

A Vision

very short story about what COULD BE reality in say 2050.
The Return of Supersense Intuition is a description of a world created by flexible minds, and governerned by experienced wise people.
Because around age 12 the human animal is mentally adult, the rest of life is mainly training experience and stimulating of 'wisdom'.
Common sense returns, as an in evolution thoroughly tested cocktail of logics.

The Myths 'Understanding' and 'Adult'
The Talent 'Imagination'
Any person who observed animal behavior has witnessed how tricky it is to stick the label 'understanding'.
Human behavior is animal behavior too, but by use of a logic language even more consistent.
Nevertheless not more than VERY consistent behavior, and easily tricked into weird paradigms.
The myth 'understanding' created a lot of confusion, and a lot of bureaucracy.
A bull that runs a slalom course does not understand the play 'slalom', but evades collisions.
A world without 'understanding' but with very strong intuition is much more 'open' world
It's revealing
to split the notion 'adult' into 2 parts: 'mentally adult' and 'sexually adult'.
Then you might realize that human animals are mentally adult around age 12, and sexually adult around age 16.
This realization has HUGE consequences for education.
'Teaching' in the 21st century paradigm should be education of creativity and intelligence and take place between say 5 and 12,
with supply of all the knowledge that is asked for. Teaching should not be oneway.
Making warchildren and ruining life at young age, is taking away free creativity.
This way pictures or movies of the world are designed by creative young human animals,
and some that fit the ethical laws later are realized with help of experienced wise elder animals.
Every mother experienced that her kid(s) have marvelous imagination.
And can be very persistent.
The challenge will be to stimulate such imagination,
using the relativism (stretch) in local Common Sense.
Something like Superstring Theory seems weird, but explains an awful lot of Common Sense experience
Primary 'School' will become the Education of Common Sense of the 21st century.
After a paradigm shift in education children will immediately pick up the refreshed Common Sense.
Other later educations (including universities) won't lose value,
but should concentrate on training skills and stimulating 'wisdom'.
