| A 'paradigm' (dominant world of sensations) defined: our 'aquarium in reality', 'beehive on an island', our 'national law and order' Inside of an 'aquarium' a paradigm shift can be visualized as LEAPING AWAKE (of all piranhas) after shattered dream, from the outside as school of fishes in total confusion (suddenly doubting 'law and order' 'understanding' like: Romans are superior beings; life = 'rational'; US is allmighty; growth is unlimited), a sudden total aha-experience among the most flexible scientific pharisees (science seen as religion of law and order; 'abrupt' [in 'rational time] = several years). The shift 'needs' three conditions: 1) the paradigm became a local depression. A sucking prison of law and order, 2) local truth vacuum: 'scientists' + believers are intolerant towards approaches of life that don't fit their 'law and order'. 3) absolutism: irrefutable indications ignored, that this 'understanding' is an isolated dimension within common sense. A paradigm shift starts when some prophet (risking career and life) meticulously breaks down the absolutism, and with an Aha-experience (ethical-thunderbolt) makes the 'law and order' 'piranhas' leap into a balanced common sense paradigm. |

A "paradigm" (like: 'mind' rules over matter) is culturally accepted as 'the way things are' (like: reality is 'rational). It becomes our invisible window view of 'the world'. This window truncates, transforms and filters reality. On earth human reality is already filtered in common sense, so local human common sense is a paradigm (a SUBspace) that dominates: Paradigm-behavior = What means do we use (and how) to survive in our truncated, transformed and filtered reality, what is doubted. Training of paradigm-behavior to handle sense experience (religion = training of emotional spasm like 'ratio') and Doubt of common sense (when it doesn't fit the inherent conceptual scheme of the paradigm) Scientists have invested their entire being in mastering the Rational Paradigm that they have created with 'scientific laws' since Kant, Descartes, Aquinas and Aristotle, within the Aristotelian Paradigm. A total paradigm shift shatters their window 'Western World / Catholic Paradigm / Rational Paradigm' (based on the dualism good-evil ; TRUE-FALSE). That is MUCH more than what Thomas Kuhn describes as: a drastic change of basic view WITHIN 'science' (religion), On earth handling sense experience became known as 'common sense'. Common sense follows local conditions. Now and then an in itself tiny subparadigm becomes totally dominant (a local prejudice like 'understanding' grows like a virus). At present most of earth is suffering severely from the subparadigm 'rationality' (disguised absolutisms like 'thinking' and 'understanding'). And this paradigm grows at virus-speed (almost like a fractal engine). In the infected part of earth after initial furious resistence (terrorism) such a local virus-paradigm, after all 'terrorists' were killed, is finally accepted as, 'normal', 'obvious', 'the way things are'. A Total Paradigm Shift is recognized first by the TINY top of the human population with very sensitive senses. 'The way things are' changes abruptly for them after an 'intellectually violent' period with totally original views on part of life. This tiny creative tip of the human population then acts as seeds for exponential change. New paradigms will keep coming forever. Reaching 'the right one' is absolute thinking, suggesting that change is limited. |

A PARADIGM is the tunnelview on reality of beings locked in their local 'cultural paralysis' (e.g. Israeleans in 'defense' mode). Westerners in a 'liberty' and 'supremacy' cramp 'understand' western-spasm newspapers (e.g. the Texas Herald), spastic magazines (e.g. The Plain Truth), spastic radio, spastic television (e.g Baptist tv), Hollywood movies, western spasm education etc., .. This results in paradigm paralysis, fear of death outside the dominant paradigm. Then evolution 'flashes' (shift) and the 'paralysis' relaxes. Reality Lightnings 'unlock' spasm behavior ('science') in a local cultural recession. Kuhnian Paradigm Shifts only repair (small correction) 'science. That total paradigm shifts abruptly redirect 'science' is vehemently resisted by traditionally leading spastics . Shouting .. bla bla TERRORISM bla bla .. they urge for War on Terrorism. Or screaming UNIQUE 'economical' disaster they spend trillions of dollars to keep this failing 'economy' upright. Such pharisees cling to their status and claim that when a new scientific paradigm is accepted, that the new 'science' is always a predictable extension of existent 'science (absolutism). And see no problem whatsoever when their spastic zombies (for instance as Nazis, Mugabe-fanatics, bank top-managers, ..) go on with committing ritual torture until death of all 'humans who deny THE RULES'. |

Replacing a dirty aquarium 'rationality') with a clean 21st century ocean Without realizing the Western World still fanatically behaves as 'Rational' aquarium, closed the curtains and like paranoid succeeds in shooting everyone to pieces who lives outside in 'reality'. Entering 'reality', even if with glasses, takes realizing in a flash that 'rational' aquarium inhabitants are only called 'rational' because their aquarium is of human made brand 'Rational'. Not because the Christian 'God' who lives in a white house called 'Heaven' has a monopoly in 'rational' aquariums. Being 'rational' is not a thing in itself, but BEHAVING 'rational' can be totally out of balance. Being rational is having label 'rational', just like having the label 'muslim'. Having an unpopular label in 'rational' view means that you're not welcome in the Christian owned house called 'Heaven', and might cause being chased as 'terrorist'. But it is BEHAVIOR that characterizes any religion, like the rational doctrine. Evolution produced DNA and Common Sense to store 'wise' BEHAVIOR. Realize that the ego-ism/overdone-individualism behind the good and evil division of reality of the religion 'rationalism' resulted in 'dirty wars' like: good Conquistadores owning 'Heaven' killing evil Aztecs, good Inquisition owning 'Heaven' killing evil non-christians, good Puritans owning 'Heaven' killing evil Red Indians, good Nazis killing evil Jews, good American soldiers with orders coming out of the white house 'Heaven' killing evil communists in the Vietnam War, etcetera. Just like in the Muhammedan version of Islam good muslims following rules out of a white book called 'Koran' murder evil non-muslims in Sudan, and already for ages good male 'Koran' muslims tolerated enslaving evil females. A return to sensing reality as ONE. |

Maintenance myths travel by radio, tv, paper and movie etc, an urgent reason to limit freedom of speech. In paradigm shape the initial seed has turned into a cultural truth (also known as urban legend). Hitler's ideas made a 'black heroin field' of Germany in WWII, but UK and US also dreamed of worldpower. Hitler wrote his thoughts down in 'Mein Kampf'. For some people still their 'bible'. Mohammedans follow the addictive thoughts of Mohammed, but in their paradigm these thought written down in his 'Koran' are 'truth' (no offense). Right now in Ukraine people are in a 'stampede' to frighten rigid Cultural Ghosts (living fossiles like sharks). Freed of addictions like the rational doctrine you feel shortly like a roaring lion.
'Rational Misconception: a self-correcting 'rational knowledge circus (science) is enough to explore reality. That's similar to saying: any logic is enough to explore reality, as long as it is 'self-correcting'. Or: researching reality from the standpoint of the inside of any 'aquarium' will do, as the exploring fishes once in a while enlarge and clean the aquarium. Kuhnian Paradigm Shifts renovate 'dirty' aquariums, but 'Reality Redesigns' demolish dirty aquariums.

You should distinguish Back to Basics Paradigms and Kuhnian or Maintenance Paradigms, or Cultural Change (Storm) and Cultural Rain.
Or Tornados of Change basics versus local temporary tradition). The interesting thing about Tornados of Change start topdown (in slow motion convincing individuals in the top of 'intelligence'). So it takes some time before Tornados of Change become a massive revolution. But even with this 'handicap' Tornados of Change keep moving, because they 'infect' people with an enormous drive for 'change' EXTREMELY rare Reality Flips back to basics might be compared to eruptions of super volcano's. These phenomenons mix at least 2 dominant cultures into 1, and might be worldwide. Evolution pulls the emergency break and refreshes the basics of life. |

Jesus was smashing the Samaritan ethics 'ego-ism' when throwing the money lenders out of The Jerusalem Temple. In Zoroastrianism (also in original Islam) lending on interest is seen as robbing 'the family'. The 'humanitarian' view is drenched the prejudice: we the superior humans assist the poor animals. Humanitarian help in Western view is bringing sweets together with Western or Roman Catholic ethics. That is ego-ism returned. Compare it to donating milk mixed with alcohol.

It's a mistake to see paradigm shifts only as scientific. You have to judge these concepts by their cultural results. That means in terms of existing ideas like relativity theory or quantum theory they might seem unsignificant, but nevertheless can have devastating cultural consequences.
I guess that people just recognize an Ethical Law Shift after MANY MANY years and when amidst of it. Realize that a total paradigm shift is only unfamiliar because it's VERY unique. In the 21th century it is initiated by a disabled engineer in a nursery home. And often the reaction is desperate and even murderous defense (this time in The Western World) ), and desperate fighting of the by-effects of the cultural tornado TOTAL Paradigm Shift (War on Terrorism). Funny enough more defense only means bigger explosion. Essential cultural changes may only be mentally survived by flexible behavior. A present eye opening example is the clash between the 'rational' and emotional Paradigms in the Middle East, as shown by the Israel Palestine Conflict. 'Giving and taking' is needed from ALL countries directly or indirectly part of one of the two sides of the specific conflict. At present a Total Paradigm Shift is developing, that will also 'solve' this conflict. On The Phillippines this 'mind tornado' is already recognized. This confirms my very strong intuition that modern 'Polynesia' is the center of the next worldculture and is assisted by Buddhism as motor. And that this super-mental-volcano eruption is most shocking in Puritan America. |
Consider a 'paradigm' as a depression within common sense. That depression is built with elementary fantasies (like in the Western Paradigm 'spirit' and 'understanding'), but is only known as a cumulative fantasy (like 'the Western World'). In itself a fantasy like 'spirit' is NOTHING, but like any with nightmare it 'grows' by giving it some 'sense' (dream explanation). If fantasies (like 'spirit' and 'reason') are highly convincing (in some culture), then such fantasies spread and might even become a local 'virtual reality'. If 'paradigm' basics (like 'spirit' and 'reason') are taken as absolute this causes Wars on Terrorism, Jihads, etcetera. A Total Paradigm Shift (Reality Redesign) is returning from the local depression to world wide Common Sense. A Reality Redesign (Total Paradigm Shift) is drastic indeed, but not in a 'power way' Depressed people suddenly see fellow people again as friendly familiar beings. Not anymore as 'competitors' or 'terrorists'. Water again is recognized as twinkling life source, not as dull basic for hydrogen bombs or rocket fuel. Change is not linear (time is a concept, only useful to measure wear in technology). Change jumps from paradigm to paradigm, with quasi linear change 'in between The ruling 'paradigm' ends in 'trembling' (fast non-change), and finally needs a jump back to common sense. The present dominant 'Western paradigm' is a depression based on a tricky Aristotelian dual view, that resulted in hallucinations like 'god', 'creation', 'spirit', 'understanding', 'consciousness', 'continuity', 'time'. Believing that reality is 'designed' by some Supreme Being (who also equipped human brain with an IMMATERIAL spirit, preprogrammed to 'understand' his 'creation. Sense Languages express temporary sense reality in sense logic. Kuhnnian paradigm shifts only repair the already dominant paradigm 'science', a Reality redesign is leaving the addictive depression 'Western World' (dominant paradigm) and a return to common sense Jumps in 'history' are jumps in language. The 21st century Reality Redesign (Total Paradigm Shift) is about use of sense language on earth. The next paradigm shift MIGHT be about how to communicate with other mammals, and in space. An instantaneous flash in an individual mind ( a shift) causes a cultural storm.
The resulting shock in a relatively short time leaves the majority of people in some paradigm line essentially changed.
Those members of that particular family who recuperated from the blow each in their own family line now shape THE next paradigm.
Like a brainwave of Western Scientist Albert Einstein caused the change from 'Absolute Physics' to 'Relative Physics'. A shift of a Partial Paradigm, only influencing scientists. In 'Western Science', and most other science families, earth apples still fall in a Newtonian way. BUT apples that are fired to the moon at rocketspeed reach velocities that have to be calculated with Einstein's relativity theory. This causes the common misconception that a Total Paradigm shift is not something to worry about. That is untrue and caused by their sparse appearance, because different cultural storms make entrance in a broad range between serious and devastating. Since about two thousand years humanity had no really shocking cultural storm of ultimate force Devastating. It DOESN'T take being religious, only seeing the trio Zoroaster, Gautama Buddha, and Jesus common but very wise men in the 3 major paradigm lines. According to the hebrew book of the Old Testament in the bible Jesus had at least two brothers, and probably several sisters. Jesus triggered until now the only known Paradigm Shift of biblical proportions in history, the one that forced the Roman Empire [in order to save slavery] to have him killed and to 'cloak' itself as Catholic Church. Stuff for myths and also nothing 'mythical' or 'metaphysical', but just showing the tremendous cultural consequences. Don't be surprised if the next Total Paradigm Shift is changing from a money economy to a knowledge economy, and will revalue ALL of intelligence (destroy IQ worshipping). It might at the same time join the three remaining major World Cultures. There are 3 major total paradigm lines, Buddhism, (Roman Catholic) Christianity and Muhammedan Islam. I only mention Roman Catholic because it differs extremely from the original Christian message of Jesus. At present this Western Roman Catholic (corrupted Christian) rational paradigm is temporarily very dominant. |

My guess: Light = f1 + f2. f1 and f2 are perpendicular. The estimate of f1 as speed is c and of f2 it is 0. The estimate of f1 as 'quality' is 0, and of f2 a function of all kinds of energy. | In ferocious herd behavior the human animal resembles the African gnoe. Taking life as it is and being a tremendous unity as herd. As extra evolution equipped man with the behavior 'puzzling'. That is semi-continuous creative trial and error. And with the AHA feeling when reaching some 'solution' of the puzzle. A HUGE talent, that surely is archived somewhere in DNA. In my nursery home I felt: the sisters (nurses) are my sisters.At the very beginning of this century this total 21st century paradigm emerges. It announces The End of Science, The End of the Western World. Also a return from the Mohammedan version of Islam to original Islam.. 1) rationalism returns to mainly technology 2) religious thinking (abstract) is bordered by ethics like in buddhism. Respect by Super Sense 'Intuition' returns. Of course the duality in rationality is essential (mind body problem), and is replaced by cultural relativism. Immanuel Kant finished Enlightenment by making rationalism the generally in the Western World accepted doctrine (logic) by using this abstract technological tool of empiric physics in methaphysics. This finally resulted in egoism and loss of respect, resulting in more and more disappearing of intuition, combined with compromising. The essence of the new paradigm is return of respect by intuition (relative meta-ethics limiting freedom of speech). So the choice is between seeing have-lots and have-nots as members of the same family or going seeing have-lots as superior human beings that throw left-overs at the animal-like have-nots. By intuition all people know, being rich has no relation whatsoever to deserving respect. I.e. The choice between wisdom combined with return of respect and continuing the abstract couple money and power thinking.
