Man is part of reality.
Since Aristotle Western people
live in the Aristotelian Paradigm and consider 'ratio' as above reality and
sense as 'white noise', and worship the non-sense 'ratio' as 'god' or
understanding. A malicious paradox.
Western Managers play Angels of Death / Industrial Killing (Operations Research approach to life)
WWII was almost result of the unimaginable 'rationality' (reliance on reason alone, felt as arrogance) of the scientist United States president Woodrow Wilson by
neglecting emotions at The Treaty of Versailles and making it into one big humiliation ceremony for Germany, and by ruining Germany.
WWII followed recession, but was financed by Wallstreet by only valuing 'rational motives', and The Holocaust was made possible by IBM
'rationally' aiming at profit.
. The Great Game: Reducing Ottoman Empire and Persian Empire to Turkey and Iran
US philosophy is controlled by fear, due to institutions like FBI and due to Cold War thinking.
In WWII help of Lutheran GB+US was needed to beat Lutheran Nazi Germany.
Cynical because Wallstreet funded Hitler, and Britain was looking for worldpower itself.
Hitler admired and feared Churchill, as a copy of himself.
America in this way discovered its own worldpower talents.
After WWI Great Britain and Russia in close cooperation (the great game) robbed an area much bigger than Europe of
Ottoman Empire and Persian Empire. America did not react.
After WWII America was rewarded with unlimited influence in Japan, Korea, Philippines and Indonesia (the last 3 countries now have a big calvinist church).
America had great power of skill, but no great thinkers.
This was asking for disaster
.....................................................
After WWII Europe saw great thinkers like Sartre, Levinas, Foucault, ...
The US produced great do'ers, but qua social life the rest of the century got trapped in a kind of positivism.
The huge influence of the US in Europe caused a return of 'rationalism',
this ruthless 'Spirit of Capitalism' with the Lutherans had been banned from Europe to The New World during Enlightenment
1. The Wiener Kreis and Wittgenstein are sometimes said to be part of the Analytic School2. Popper and Kuhn are said to be part of the Scientific School3. French School philosophers like Foucault and Derrida are said to be member of Post Structuralism.
4. French School philosophers like Sartre and Camus are said to Existentialist
5. Marcuse became fashionable since Paris student revolution (1968), partly by chance.
6. With Kuhn feeling is left again. The disappearing of the Flower Power ideals.
7. All philosophers between the Spanish Civil War and the expected end of Capitalism
are bunched by me as economical rationalists or one dimensional men.
Marcuse being the only exception, tragic because his analysis is right
but his followers choose one by one for the mainstream.

The concept 'paradigm' of Thomas Kuhn was mis-used a lot and the essence was fading end 20th century.
Start 21th century 'paradigm' as useful view revives.
'Rationality' is demasked as redesigning the world in a desert of 'rich and poor', with oases full of skyscrapers and huge sanddunes with wars on terrorism
